We are currently urging your elected officials to sign a letter to Congress requesting increased funding for humanitarian demining programs — critical work that saves lives and prevents injuries around the world. While explosive hazards threaten communities every day in more than 60 countries around the world, this continued funding is critical to making the world a safer place for us all.

Recent U.S. funding cuts have directly impacted our operations in Zimbabwe, which will now have to close as a result. Despite the painful cuts, we remain hopeful for continued involvement in Ukraine and Southeast Asia where WRA funding programs remain largely in tact and where APOPO’s programs have a significant impact.

Now more than ever, we need your voice to ensure that children can safely walk to school, families can grow their crops, and that families can thrive.
