Gaming Partnerships Manager

APOPO is a global non-profit organization that trains African giant pouched rats (HeroRATs) to detect landmines, tuberculosis, illegally trafficked wildlife contraband, and to search wreckage in the wake of earthquakes and other disasters.

HeroRATs are real-life heroes, trained to save lives through a mix of ingenuity, precision, and a little bit of adorable flair. Their unique blend of novelty and effectiveness makes them a natural fit for the gaming audience, which thrives on stories of unconventional heroes, epic missions, and world-changing impact.

Gamers love to see underdogs win—and what better underdog than a clever rat that can detect landmines, or TB faster than any machine or human, or fit into tight spaces in port containers or disaster areas to save humans and endangered species?
