Meet Imeldo
Imeldo is a highly trained and newly accredited Mine Detection Rat, or ‘HeroRAT’ for short. HeroRATs like Imeldo use their remarkable sense of smell to safely sniff out explosives faster and more accurately than existing methods.
All of our HeroRATs have a highly developed sense of smell and their light weight makes them ideal detectors of landmines and tuberculosis. Thanks to the generous adoption support of people like you, we can continue to carry out our important work and protect the lives of men, women, and children, as well as animals and wildlife.
